Travelchoice.org is designed help anyone in East Sussex with their journey requirements. It gives information on the more traditional modes of local and National public transport as well as giving access to clever online software that potentially could match your journeys that you do, with other members looking.

The speed and ease in which we travel from A to B is changing. Our roads are getting more congested, the more affluent we become the more cars per household we own and the further we are prepared to travel. Travelchoice.org, sponsored by East Sussex CC, recognises this problem and tries to resolve it in an innovative way. Look around you next time you are on the road, how many cars have just the one person in them? Are you faced with a regular commute or trip, how often do you see familiar faces? Every day the government estimates that there are 10 million empty seats on our overcrowded roads. If everyone shared just one journey per week then congestion would be reduced by a considerable 20%, so why don’t we ask for or give a lift to someone more often?

We used to, but unfortunately we don’t seem to so much these days, even though the problems are far greater. We spend so much time in our cars, what sort of quality of life exists for us now and more importantly for us in the future?

Jump in and have a look, if only initially, for curiosities sake. It takes just a couple of minutes to register and you show no personal details to other members bar a nick name and your approximate journey when having a look. The more people that log-in then the more people we will be able to help out.
